Keaka Martin, 32, of Hilo was convicted of attempted murder and other charges after he was accused of shooting two Big Island police officers in January 2013, according to the deputy prosecutor.
Martin was found guilty of attempted murder in the first degree, assault in the first degree, reckless endangering in the second degree, and five firearms charges.
He faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 20.
"We are pleased and satisfied with the verdict," said Deputy Prosecutor Darien Nagata. "The defendant will be held accountable for his actions."
