The Papakolea woman police say reported finding a newborn on the beach that's allegedly actually hers will be arraigned in district court.
The prosecutor's office says 21-year-old Keala Simeona will be arraigned May 28. She's expected to enter a plea on a charge of filing a false police report.
She was arrested Tuesday and released on $250 bail.
Police say she reported finding an infant girl on Sandy Beach and took the baby to a hospital. Police say it was later determined Simeona is the baby's mother.
Family Court will decide whether to return the child to her family or whether parental rights will be terminated. A hearing is scheduled for Monday.
Human services officials want Simeona and any identified father to submit to DNA testing.
