KITV viewer Chris Purington wrote on our Facebook page about the place his family of seven always wants to go together -- Bravo Restaurant near the Pearlridge Center Uptown.
"It's really good food, good prices and kid friendly," said Purington.
The family has been going to the restaurant since the 1990s. At some point, even Tasha's late father even bought them all red polo shirts to match the ones worn by the waiters.
"So that was the thing to do. Get out the red shirt -- we're going to Bravo!" said Tasha, Chris' wife.
And go they do! So many times, they can rattle off their favorites from the menu.
"The garlic rolls. I like the chicken parmesan and the shrimp scampi," said Chris. Tasha says, "I always have to have some kind of rigatoni. I love it with the marinara and the mushrooms."
They have favorite staff members, too.
"When we come in, we just always look for Gil. He's just always friendly, comes out and says hi and checks on us," said Chris.
Gil Miguel, now a supervisor, has been working here for nearly 25 years.
"I started off as a dishwasher, and then worked myself up to a server. I enjoy serving. It's fun," said Miguel.
Every customer gets that smile, and sometimes a hug too.
"I would treat them the same way I treat my mom -- with genuine respect," said Miguel.
And Miguel wouldn't put a Bravo meal on your table if he wouldn't put it on his own.
"I don't really feel comfortable serving the food if I didn't enjoy the food. The food is great. That's why I eat it," said Miguel.
The seafood harvest -- shrimps, scallops, calamari, and clams in a light tomato cream sauce. Yum!
One of the most popular items on the menu is actually free! It's the garlic rolls. And when they say garlic, they mean it. Bravo goes through 60 pounds of garlic each and every week.
"Once you get one, it's addictive," said Miguel. "You can't help but eat another. And another and another."
We ate well, and even the kids all cleaned their plates.
"They just have a lot of kid-friendly dishes, especially for picky eaters," said 13-year-old Lisa.
"We've had birthday parties here. Just take everybody we know," said 11-year-old Emily.
They're not the only ones.
Whether you're in it for the food or the family time, our Facebook friend Chris says you, too, will say, "Bravo!"
"For the price and the amount of food, you can't go wrong," said Chris.
Bravo is located right below Anna Miller's Restaurant. It's actually owned by the same owners, and you can get those famous Anna Miller's pies at Bravo, too. They just started serving the strawberry pies.
