Waimea Valley re-opens Wednesday after being closed for over two weeks.
Crews were able to complete rock scaling maintenance at the front entrance of the valley a week earlier than expected.
Workers also cleaned, repaired, and re-painted bridges in the valley, re-graveled walking paths, and re-paved roads.
The Proud Peacock restaurant was also renovated. The restaurant is expected to re-open in mid-March.
Crews are still working on rock scaling at the waterfall area, so swimming is not allowed. Waterfall area work is expected to be completed by Feb. 7.
Waimea Valley will also offer new activities in the coming months that include an off-road nature tour and family days.
