The 35th Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk is happening this Saturday from Ala Moana Beach Park through Waikiki.
Everyone is invited to join in on food, fun and entertainment to help raise funds for Hawaii's local charities at the annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk.
The walk begins at Ala Moana Beach Park's McCoy Pavilion. The 6-mile walk, which includes 18 industry sponsored checkpoints, tours through Waikiki, up Kapahulu Avenue and along the Ala Wai Canal , down Lewers Street's Beachwalk and ends back at Ala Moana Beach Park.
6:35 a.m. - Greetings and Warm-Up with KCCN's Shannon Scott
7 a.m. - Walk begins
9:30 a.m. - Post-Walk concert begins: 2 Big Hawaiians Charge by the Pound and Kona Chang perform at finish line
Sponsored by the Hawai'i Lodging & Tourism Association, the Charity Walk is one of Hawaii’s largest fundraisers, taking place on Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui
and Hawaii Island.
Last year, more than 12,312 walkers participated to raise $1,455,614 for hundreds of
local charities. Since its inception in 1978, the Charity Walk has raised over $24.7
