USS Paul Hamilton returns from 9-month deployment

Crew of guided-missile destroyer had been supporting regional security

PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii -

The guided-missile destroyer USS Paul Hamilton returned to the ship's homeport of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Monday following a nine-month deployment.

The ship is flying a 242-foot Homeward Bound Pennant; the length of the pennant is one foot for each Sailor on the ship who has served on board while overseas in excess of nine months.

The crew of Paul Hamilton has been operating in the U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility, conducting a wide array of operations supporting regional security including counter-terrorism and combating transnational crime.
