Today, protestors hit the streets of Waikiki, saying they want a permanent vacation from genetically modified organisms. :18:18 NO GMO AOLE AOLE "Babes Against Biotech" say over 5-thousand open-air experimental G-M-O species have been released in Hawaii -- presenting a hazard to native species. They've protested across the state before... But picked Waikiki specifically for today. 11:06 WE WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT THE TOURIST INDUSTRY ALSO FEEL SOME OF OUR PAIN. Meanwhile supporters of G-M-O say local farmers need bio technology to handle problems -- like pests and disease. G-M-O supporters also say "labelling" should be left to the federal government. They say if our state passes a law on labelling -- it would cost Hawaii too much to enforce.
