Unattended ammunition box found in parking lot of Kapolei Walmart

People were let back in the store at around 2:45 p.m.

HONOLULU -

Honolulu police say the Specialized Services Division, also known as the SWAT team, responded to the Walmart in Kapolei Thursday afternoon.

An unattended ammunition box was reported in the parking lot at around 12:20 p.m.

The store was evacuated.  Officers determined that the box was empty at around 2:45 p.m.

No arrest was made.  Anyone with information on this case is asked to call police.
