Smoke from Haleiwa brush fire affecting around 4 homes

Honolulu fire officials say residents at approximately four homes on Kaika Place in Haleiwa were given an opportunity to voluntarily leave due to smoke from a nearby brush fire Friday afternoon.

Fire crews were called at around 4 p.m.

So far, no property has been damaged and there were no injuries.

The fire has burned about four acres of brush.
