Shark researchers are back to tagging tiger sharks around the coasts of Maui.
A professor and graduate students from the University of Hawaii have tagged nine sharks along the Valley Isle’s north shore since last week.
The shark tagging is part of a study commissioned by the Department of Land and Natural resources to monitor the movement of sharks around the islands. The tags also contain a satellite hookup that allows the sharks to be tracked online.
