The Hawaii Sex Offender Search is now available for the public use on mobile devices and the web.
The mobile application allows users to search the state’s criminal data base for the names, residence and other information about sex offenders registered in the State of Hawaii.
The Department of the Attorney General and Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center (HCJDC) officially released the app on Wednesday and released a statement about the app’s importance.
“Covered offenders who use physical violence, who prey upon children, and who are repeat offenders are a threat to public safety,” said Attorney General David M. Louie. “This new App will further enhance the public’s ability to access important information concerning the presence of sex offenders in their communities.”
