Red flag fire warning continues for entire state

NWS: Focus of advisory mainly leeward areas

The National Weather Service has extended a red flag warning for all of Tuesday day.

A red flag warning means that strong winds, relatively low humidity and high temperatures are creating critical fire conditions. 

The warning applies to all islands, mainly leeward areas.

The warning is set to expire by 6 p.m. Tuesday, but may very well be extended if these conditions continue.

Low humidity is defined as being below 40 percent, with strong winds ranging from 10-20 miles per hour with gusts of up to 35 miles per hour.
