A 52-year-old woman who was the victim of a robbery in earlier this month in Waikiki has died, according to police.
Police have reclassified the second-degree robbery case to a manslaughter case.
On Feb. 2, Julie Stevenson was approached from behind by a man while she was walking in the driveway of 1720 Ala Moana Boulevard. Police say the man grabbed her purse and shoved her to the ground.
Stevenson was hospitalized with multiple injuries.
The medical examiner says her cause of death was complications following blunt force injuries of the right lower extremity with a fracture of the femur.
Although the medical examiner classified the manner of death as a homicide, police have reclassified the case as a manslaughter.
