Police release photos in Ford Island cold case

Man's remains were recovered in 2005

HONOLULU -

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public’s
assistance in identifying human remains that were recovered from Ford Island on
October 25, 2005.

The partial remains were analyzed and found to be a Caucasian man with a
predicted age of 45 years old, 5-feet-8-inches-tall to 6-feet-tall.  The man had an injured knee and may have walked with a limp.

Police say evidence showed that the man died on land before he was immersed in water several days later.

Honolulu police released pictures of some of the items belonging to John Doe.
