Police release video in connection with Punahou St. murder

Someone used victim's ATM card at 12:30 a.m. Monday

Honolulu police have released surveillance video in connection with a murder investigation on Punahou Street.

On Tuesday at around 7:21 p.m., police were called to 1224 Punahou Street on a report of a woman's body that was wrapped in carpet lying in the driveway.

The victim's 2013 silver Mercedes C250 was not at the scene.  The vehicle was located several hours later on Kalakaua Avenue, near the Kapiolani Park bandstand, parked at the metered stalls in the Ewa-bound direction.

On Monday, at around 12:30 a.m., a person was captured on surveillance video using the victim's ATM card at the First Hawaiian Bank located near Safeway at the Manoa Marketplace.

Police believe the person is a man dressed as a woman.

The victim was identified by friends as 56-year-old Mary Beth San Juan.  She was an actress and a real estate broker.  Police say she died from multiple stab wounds.
