Police are investigating the discovery of human bones on the Big Island while workers were preparing a burial site at a Hilo cemetery.
Police say the discovery happened around 1:50 p.m. on Monday at the Veteran's Cemetery Number 2 off Laimana Street.
Archaeologists say the remains do not appear to be ancient.
The incomplete set of remains was taken to the Hilo Medical Center for examination by the medical examiner.
