Hawai'i County Civil Defense say Pohakea Mauka Road in Paauilo on the Big Island has been repaired just four days after a sinkhole swallowed a truck.
The county's Department of Public Works hired a contractor to make the emergency repairs. A new culvert was also installed.
Crews are waiting for the concrete to cure. Only foot traffic may be allowed on Friday.
The project cost about $350,000.
On Dec. 30, a sinkhole appeared in that spot and a pickup truck fell in. The woman who was driving the truck was able to get out of the truck and the sinkhole and was not injured.
