Three shots fired, on grazing the leg of a 48-year-old man

WAIPAHU, Hawaii -

Police have opened an attempted murder investigation following an overnight shooting in Waipahu.

HPD says the incident happened at around 10:30 Thursday night at the Shell gas station off Farringotn Highway near Pupupani Street.

It started when a fight between two groups broke out with a 48-year-old man and 19-year-old man fleeing the scene in their car.

Their car crashed at the gas station after being chased by a group of suspects in two separate vehicles.  

Three gun shots were then fired, one of which grazed the leg of the 48-year-old man.

Another shot hit one of the vehicles involved and the third hitting a window of a nearby resident.

No suspects have been arrested.

Police are still investigating the relationship between the parties involved.

They have also opened an additional reckless endangerment charge.
