Power restored in Manoa after utility pole falls

HECO: Initially 550 customers were affected in outage

HONOLULU -

A utility pole fell down on a private driveway in Manoa Tuesday morning which caused an outage in the area.

A Hawaiian Electric Company spokesperson said 550 customers were affected in the outage when the pole fell at around 8:30 a.m. at Lowrey Avenue and Kalawao Street.

Power was restored for most of the customers by 9 a.m.  The remaining 30 customers had their power restored by 2:30 p.m.

HECO is investigating what caused the utility pole to fall.
