NAVFAC awarded $10M to replace underwater pipeline

3,800 feet of pipe to be upgraded

HONOLULU -

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific has been awarded a $10 million task order to replace a 24-inch underwater waterline from Pearl City Peninsula to Ford Island.

Officials said 3,800 feet of pipe will be upgraded to stronger piping with the ultimate goal of improving water quality and output.
