Murder suspect who fled custody pleas guilty to escape

A murder suspect who escaped from the custodyof Department of Public Safety officers in February plead guilty to charges relating to that escape.
Teddy Munet led police on an 11-hour manhunt in February when he escaped custody while being transported to Circuit Court in downtown Honolulu.
He faces one count of 1st degree robbery and one count of 1st degree escape for that incident.
He was initially being held on murder charges in connection with the shooting death of William Fallau in August 2012. That case is still pending.
Sentencing for the escape-related charges is set for early September. He faces a maximum sentence of 30 years for those charges.
