Jacob Le Trial

A mistrial was declared Thursday in the trial of Jacob Le, who was accused of murdering his best friend 23-year-old Brent Kanae.

Exactly one year to the date of Kanae's death, the jury could not reach a verdict.

Le was accused of murdering Kanae at Ala Moana Center on Oct. 3, 2012.

Prosecutors say Le was obsessed with his ex-girlfriend, even after stabbing Kanae.

Defense attorneys say he didn't have the skill nor strength to stab Kanae.
