Man struck on Pali Highway dies

HONOLULU -

A 24-year-old man who was hit by a vehicle on the Pali Highway Saturday night has died, according to police.

The medical examiner identified the man as Levy Rivera with an address at Marine Corps Base Hawaii.

Investigators believe he was crossing the Kailua-bound lanes near the tunnels when he was struck.

Rivera was rushed to the Queen's Medical Center in critical condition.  He died on Monday.

Police say the driver was not injured and did not appear to be under the influence or speeding.

The investigation is ongoing.
