Board of Water Supply crews were working to repair a leak to a service water line on Tuesday that was damaged by an area contractor on Waialae Avenue near the Wilhelmina Rise intersection.
The repair work to the damaged service line that connects to a 12-inch main has resulted in the closure of two Diamond Head-bound lanes on Waialae Avenue near Liliuokalani Elementary School.
The leak was reported at approximately 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. Approximately 18 customers were currently affected.
Water service was restored by 5 a.m. All eastbound lanes were reopened by 7:45 a.m.
