Police: Alcohol suspected as a factor in collision
Maui police say a 28-year-old Lahaina woman was hospitalized in extremely critical condition after she was hit by a motorcycle early Thursday.
It happened at around 1:46 a.m. on Honoapiilani Highway near Hoohui Road in Lahaina.
The motorcycle, driven by a 46-year-old Lahaina man, was headed south on Honoapiilani Highway approaching the intersection at Hoohui Road when the woman crossed the highway and was hit by the motorcycle.
