LIHUE, Hawaii -

The Kauai Police Department continues to ask for the public's help in locating runaway Mahina Rivera-Denning.

KPD issued a public request for assistance in early April but the announcement turned up no sign of the missing teen.  At the request of the girl's family, KPD is issuing a reminder to the public to remain on the lookout.

Mahina Rivera-Denning, 14, was last seen on Dec. 30, 2012 in Honolulu and was reported missing by the Honolulu Police Department.  HPD believes she may be staying on Kauai's Westside.

Rivera-Denning is 5-feet-2-inches-tall and weighs roughly 110 pounds.  She has brown eyes and long brown hair, a tan complexion and a thin build.

Anyone with information about Rivera-Denning is urged to call KPD Dispatch at 241-1711, Investigative Services Bureau, 241-1696 or CrimeStoppers, 241-1887.
