HPD investigating pellet gun shootings targeting buses

Honolulu police are searching for those responsible for a pellet gun shooting at city buses.

Oahu Transit Services says four bus windows were damaged by bullets from a pellet gun.  Two windows were shattered and two others were cracked.

Transit officials say bus riders and drivers were at risk since the buses were in service at the time of the shootings.

One bus was shot at around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday on Liliha Street across from Liliha Library.  Another bus was shot a few hours laters at 9 p.m. at the intersection of Liliha Street and King Street.

Damage was estimated at $600.
