Hawaii Kai man accused of threatening with samurai swords
Kaumeheiwa, 27, charged with terroristic threatening
A 27-year-old Hawaii Kai man, who was accused of threatening two people with samurai swords, appeared in court Friday.
James C. Kaumeheiwa was charged with terroristic threatening, according to police.
Court documents say he was arguing with his 55-year-old father Wednesday in a Hawaii Kai home.
Kaumeheiwa allegedly threatened his father and a 73-year-old woman with a 4-foot-long sword and a 2-foot-long sword.
Court documents say Kaumeheiwa assumed a samurai stance and held one of the swords near his father's stomach and said he was going to kill the man and "everyone in the house."
Kaumeheiwa is being held on $30,000 bail.
