Thousands of golf balls were dropped from a helicopter to raise funds for the Pacific Survivor Center. Each ball was numbered and cost a suggested donation of $20. The person who had the number of the ball that fell into the hole first or was closest to it won $1,000.
"We help heal the survivors of human trafficking, abuse, exploitation and we are a Hawaii based nonprofit," said Marcia Caldirola of the Pacific Survivor Center.
The organizers of the fundraiser hope to raise more than $40,000 dollars for the charity.
