A man and a woman in Glenwood were indicted in connection with an underground marijuana growing operation, according to the Hawaii County Prosecutor's Office.

Charles Howard Lanham III, 60, faces nine charges and Linda Lee Stallings, 67, is facing eight charges.  The most severe charge is Commercial Promotion of Marijuana in the first degree, which is a felony.

In March, a search warrant was served at a home on Kokokahi Road.  On the property was an underground bunker about 40-feet-by-80-feet.

Police recovered more than 500 marijuana plants, about 10 pounds of dried marijuana and a small amount of hashish from the bunker and surrounding property.
