Friends call Harris, 29, 'sweet, lovable person'
Portland, Ore. woman last seen Wednesday night
“I've been racking my brain trying to think what if, maybe this, or maybe that. This is killing me inside,” said Harris’ close friend Jillian Gidibes.
Nearly a week after Ivy Harris disappeared, and still not a word, said Gidibes.
Police had plenty of questions after the body of a naked woman was found last night more than an hour away at Yokohama Bay in Waianae.
“It's been very tough. We're all just trying to hold it together,” said another friend Chelsea Harris.
“We know something’s wrong and I just think it’s a matter of time,” Gidibes said to strangers as she handed out flyers in Waikiki on Sunday.
Wednesday night was the last time they saw Harris outside Kelly O'Neils on Lewers Street.
They got a short text from her phone Thursday asking if they were OK, and that’s the last time her friends said they heard from her.
“She was my world. She was my world. She was my best friend and we did everything together,” said her boyfriend Mike Miles on Sunday.
Friends were here vacationing from Portland, Ore. to celebrate Ivy's birthday.
But as day turned into night on Monday, they got the news that confirmed their fears.
A passerby found Harris' body at around 6 p.m. Monday in some brush at Yokohama Bay.
“She was a wonderful beautiful girl, very sweet, very full of life, I mean she was lovable,” said Chelsea Harris.
Now, they can only hope the truth over what happened and why will come out soon.
“If there is somebody that knows something please come forward. Have a heart. She’s a human being,” said Gidibes, with tears rolling down her face.
