Firefighters busy Friday morning with Maili brush fire

Honolulu firefighters worked to extinguish a brush fire in Maili early Friday.

Crews were called to the scene at around 4 a.m. in the area between Kulaaupuni Street and Paakea Road.  However, at least one resident believes the brush fire started earlier at around 3 a.m.

It took firefighters about an hour to get the fire under control.

So far, there have been no reports of structure damage.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
