Convict on probation accused of sex assault of a minor

Samuelu, 21, accused of sexual assaulting 13-year-old girl

HONOLULU -

A 21-year-old man, who had already been convicted of sexual assault, is back in custody charged with more sex crimes.

Police say Live Samuelu sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl from March 10 through April 18 of this year.

Court documents show the teen invited him to her house after meeting on Facebook.  The girl's mother called police after noticing explicit messages on the girl's cellphone and Facebook account.

Bail for seven counts of sexual assault is set at $250,000.

Samuelu was given a year in jail and five years probation in February of last year after being found guilty of eight counts of sexual assault in a separate case.

Police arrested him Tuesday at the Oahu Community Correctional Center where he was being held for violating his probation.
