Broken hydrant lateral on Kapiolani Boulevard repaired

Eastbound lanes still closed due to previously scheduled road repaving

HONOLULU -

The Board of Water Supply says a broken hydrant lateral on Kapiolani Boulevard near Cooke Street has been fixed after a contractor damaged it Wednesday morning.

The hydrant lateral broke just before 10 a.m.

Water to the hydrant was restored by 1 p.m.

The eastbound lanes on Kapiolani Boulevard continue to be closed between Cooke Street and Ward Avenue because of previously scheduled road work.

Just before 10 a.m., a broken hydrant lateral caused some flooding on Kapiolani Boulevard near Cooke Street.
