Body of missing diver found in waters off South Kona

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii -

The body of a missing 27-year-old man, who was last seen diving at Pebble Beach in South Kona, was recovered on Wednesday, according to Big Island fire officials.

At around 4 p.m., a witness say the diver about 150 yards off of the Kona Paradise Subdivision.  A fire department helicopter located the body in waters 20-to-30-feet-deep.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.  The cause of death is under investigation.
