Wanat, 27, wanted for questioning in connection with car theft

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii -

Big Island police are searching for a 27-year-old Kona man who is wanted on three bench warrants for violating probation.

Andrew Marshall Wanat is 5-feet-11-inches-tall, 210 pounds with brown eyes and short brown hair.

He is also wanted for questioning in connection with a car that was stolen from Kona on May 4.  He has no permanent address but frequents the Kona area.

Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
