B.C. women arrested at Honolulu airport

Francis, 20, accused of assaulting officer; sister accused of intervening

HONOLULU -

A woman and her sister from British Columbia were arrested at Honolulu International Airport Thursday after some kind of disturbance happened on an Allegiant Air flight from Washington state, according to state public safety officials.

Rachel Michel Francis, 20, was accused of assaulting an officer when sheriffs met the two women at the gate.   She was booked with assault of a law enforcement officer in the second degree.

Her sister, Mary Michel Francis, 22, was accused of intervening.  She was booked with interference in government operations.

Bail was set at $100 for each woman.  They both posted bail and were released.
