The attorney for a man accused of attacking a friend in Moiliili wants a mental evaluation for his client.

According to court documents, 24-year-old Jamal Morris tried to gouge out Maseeh Ganjali's eyes on May 15 because Morris "thought the victim was the Antichrist and wanted everyone to know."

A hearing on Morris' mental fitness is scheduled in June.

Morris has been charged with first-degree attempted assault.  His bail is set at $100,000.

In another case, Morris is charged with terroristic threatening accused of dousing a man with alcohol and trying to set him on fire.
