"Accidental" Lahaina fire causes $100k damage

LAHAINA, Hawaii -

A Monday morning house fire in Lahaina caused an estimated $100,000 in damage, according to Maui fire officials.

The fire broke out just after 6 a.m. at 321 Front Street.

Smoke was emanating from the back of the home when fire crews arrived.  The bulk of the fire was concentrated in the floor between the first and second patio. 

Firefighters fully extinguished the fire at 8:18 a.m.

No injuries were reported in the blaze and no one was displaced by the damage caused by the fire.

At this time the cause of the fire has not been determined, but it is currently being classified as accidental.
