Honolulu police are searching for a woman suspected of trying to rob the Territorial Savings Bank branch at the Ala Moana Shopping Center Wednesday.
A press release issued by Honolulu Crimestoppers reports the woman entered the bank branch at 3 p.m. Wednesday, and attempted to enter the area restricted to tellers. She then reportedly demanded money, and stated she had a weapon. When confronted by bank employees, the woman left without any money.
Police are also investigating an attempted robbery the previous day at the First Hawaiian Bank branch on California Avenue. In that case, police say a woman walked into the bank, demanded money from the teller and left when approached by a manager.
Honolulu police have not said if the robberies are connected.
