A woman assaulted in Wahiawa shortly before midnight on Saturday is in critical condition.

Police said the 33-year-old was found lying in the middle of the road near the intersection of Kamehameha Highway and Whitmore Avenue.

Officers arrested a 39-year-old man in connection with this case.  They said the suspect physically assaulted the victim while in a vehicle.
