Lewers street flooded from water break
The Board of Water Supply responded to Waikiki Monday to shut off the water coming from a building on Lewers Street.
The water came from a construction site on private property near 340 Lewers Street just after 11 a.m.
A contractor working on the DFS property caused the break or leak, according to the Board of Water Supply. The contractor helped Board of Water Supply crews to stop the water from flowing.
Repairs are being done by the contractor.
The street was flooded and affected traffic in the area. The only building affected is owned by DFS and it was already shut down because of construction. No other businesses were affected.
