A 16-inch water main break located off of 46-206 Kamehameha Highway.
Four Windward Oahu schools were closed Wednesday due to a water main break.
The Department of Education said that Kaneohe Elementary School and Ke Kula 'o Samuel M Kamakau charter school were closed.
Teachers at Kaneohe Elementary are to report to the district office for training.
All other DOE schools are open.
Hawaii Pacific University's Hawaii Loa campus and Windward Community College are also closed, according to their websites.
At noon, HPU said the Board of Water Supply was restoring water service to its Hawaii Loa campus and full service was expected later in the day. However, classes were still cancelled and only essential employees were expected on campus.
Kaneohe district court is also closed.
Board of Water Supply crews have located the isolated the water main break. It is a 16-inch water main off of 46-206 Kamehameha Highway.
As of around 4:30 p.m., water service was restored for all affected customers. Normal operational levels should be back by Thursday morning.
