Wastewater spill reported at Keehi Lagoon
Public advised to stay out of water from Nimitz viaduct to end of canoe launch areas

The Department of Health is asking the public to stay out of the waters at Keehi Lagoon from the Nimitz Highway viaduct to the end of the canoe launch areas, in the dog-leg inlet area, due to a wastewater spill.
The announcement was made Friday. Health officials say the discharge is ongoing but intermittent.
Repairs are underway and warning signs are posted. Water samples are also being taken.
