Waipahu woman killed in Nevada crash
Authorities have identified a 68-year-old woman from Hawaii killed in a weekend crash in Henderson with a vehicle driven by a man accused of driving drunk, leaving the scene of an accident and hit-and-run.
The Clark County coroner's office said Monday that Edith Maddagan Jamon of Waipahu, died late Sunday at University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
Police say 36-year-old Jeffrey Robert Phelps of Henderson, was arrested after the 7:45 p.m. Sunday crash near the Henderson Executive Airport.
Phelps is accused of crashing a Nissan Altima into the back of a Toyota RAV4, then crashing head-on into a Toyota Camry.
Jamon was a passenger in the Camry. Two other people in the Camry and a passenger in the RAV4 were taken to the St. Rose Dominican Hospital Siena Campus.
