A Waipahu High School track coach and teacher has been ACQUITTED of charges he sexually assaulted a girl on the track team. Erik Tamura WAS accused of molesting a teen during her sophomore and junior years at school and ONCE at her home. The jury deliberated for just a DAY -- before deciding he was not guilty. The City Prosecutor HAD claimed the teenager had NO motive to lie in testifying about the EMBARASSING details of sexual assaults. While Tamura's lawyer maintained it NEVER happened and that the girl's motive to lie was that Tamura had stopped coaching her.
