Waimalu crash sends 3 to hospital; 1 in critical condition

A man in his 60s was hospitalized in critical condition after a multiple vehicle collision in Waimalu Thursday afternoon, according to Emergency Medical Services officials.

The incident happened at around 1 p.m. near the intersection of Hekaha Street and Kamehameha Highway.

A woman in her mid-60s was hospitalized in serious condition and a woman in her mid-30s was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police are at the scene investigating.

Some westbound lanes on Kamehameha Highway were closed due to the investigation.
