Dragged by a car for nearly a mile, tonight a Waianae man is lucky to be alive. That victim is in the hospital tonight in critical condition after police say a suspect hit him with his car and just kept going. Nothing going out the driveway. Going straight at them. WITNESSES SAY.. AFTER THE GOLD COLORED TOYOTA HIT THE MAN AND WOMAN... THE WOMAN WAS ABLE TO GET UP... BUT THE MAN WAS THROWN UP IN THE AIR ... AND SOMEHOW LANDED UNDERNEATH THE CAR. HE WAS WAS DRAGGED DOWN SEVERAL STREETS.... FOR NEARLY A MILE. 4.48 the girlfriend was screaming. I was screaming. The girlfriend was running after the car. He was under the car and i'm driving my car chasing him. MONICA FOLLOWED THE SUSPECT SEVERAL BLOCKS... WHEN SHE GOT TO ma-eel-ee .... RIGHT IN FRONT OF "THE TA-MURA SUPERMARKET" SHE SAYS... THE VICTIM WAS SOMEHOW ABLE TO GET AWAY FROM THE DANGEROUS CAR Lt. Towne 23.55 according to a witness the vehicle started to lose control and so he was able to dislodge himself. THE VICTIM WAS TAKEN TO QUEENS MEDICAL CENTER IN CRITICAL CONDITION. THE DRIVER NEVER STOPPED ... AND JUST KEPT GOING..... AS FOR THE PEOPLE THAT LIVE IN THIS NEIGHBORHOO D, THEY STILL CAN'T BELIEVE.
