A Honolulu police officer witnessed a baseball bat assault in Waianae Tuesday and arrested the man at the scene, according to the police report.

Officers responded to an argument call on Waianae Valley Road just before 9 p.m.

When the first officer arrived, he saw a 46-year-old man assaulting a 41-year-old man with a baseball bat.

The officer intervened and arrested the suspect for felony assault.

The victim suffered head injuries and refused medical treatment.
