The work week began with no power for about 1,200 customers and caused a traffic backup on Oahu's Windward coast after a power outage lasted for several hours Monday morning.
According to the Hawaiian Electric Company, the outage was reported around 6 a.m. in Kaneohe.
Power was restored to a majority of those customers by about 7 a.m., but about 15 continue to be without power Monday morning.
Those affected are in the Pali Golf Course area, according to a HECO official.
The power outage also affected traffic signals in the area, slowing traffic for commuters in Kaneohe, Kailua and Waimanalo.
A HECO official said that a broken cross arm on a utility pole near the Pali Golf Course caused the outage.
